About Us

Locally, we are active in the community. We give a gift of library books to one Commack school each year. We award two scholarships to graduating seniors at Commack High School each June. We provide incentive awards to teachers who would like to enhance their programs.  We support the local community through donations.

Professionally, we support the CTA and volunteer our time when needed. We keep our members informed about any changes in their pensions and health insurance and stay well-informed of issues in education, both locally and nationally. Our newsletter and emails keep the line of communication open to all our members.

Our board consists of 12 members and meets once once a month. Two or three times a year we have a General Meeting featuring a speaker or a program.

Socially, our Book Club meets every 6-8 weeks via Zoom. We discuss a variety of books.

In addition, we have three luncheons a year; members and their guests are always invited.
